Largest-Ever Israel Diamond Pavilion at September Hong Kong Show
Pressure Release - Ramat Gan, Israel, September 3, 2009: In keeping with its strategic marketing program for the 2009 “Together Works,” the Israel Diamond Set up Group of Companies (IDI) is planning to make a major plaster at the Hong Kong Jewellery & Watch Fair this September. IDI will be presenting the largest-ever Israel Diamond Pavilion at any selling show, with 60 Israeli companies. In addition, there will be 20 Israeli companies exhibiting throughout the show.The Israel Diamond Pavilion will be located at the Asia In every way Expo, which will house all of the loose diamond and gemstone exhibitors. IDI’s replica booth, located at the entrance to the pavilion, will provide dirt on the Israeli diamond industry and will help guide buyers through the pavilion.

IDI Launches Exhibition of Jewelry Design Competition Finalists
The diamond jewelry sketch competition held by the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies in honor of Israel's 60th anniversary is the infrastructure for a new exhibition that opened at the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum in Ramat Gan, Israel, yesterday.
The expo was launched at a reception attended by Mayor Tzvi Bar, of Ramat Gan; IDI chairman Moti Ganz; Israel Diamond Quarrel senior deputy president Kobi Korn; and Israel Venerable Stones Exchange president Shlomo Eshed.
The meet was intended to encourage the use of Israeli diamonds by Israeli jewelry designers, to succour cooperation between Israeli jewelers and the diamond industry, and to situation Israel as a manufacturer of unique and original diamond jewelry.
Eleven designs were finalists and are on manifest. The exhibition, titled Sixty Diamonds and Many More, is curated by Yehuda Kassif, IDI's jewelry publicity release director and art director of the museum.
The winning designs are: First accolade, Tree of Life ring made of blackened gold and set with 60 diamonds, by Shaoul-Aharon Elisha; substitute prize, heart earrings, made of white gold with unblemished and black diamonds, by Orly Eizenman; third prize, Eternal Counterglow ring, made of moving parts of white and yellow gold with stainless and colored diamonds, by Yaniv Shapiro.
The exhibition will be shown through the end of December.
