Three men rob jewelry store of gold, diamonds, cash
Three armed men robbed a relatives-run jewelry store in San Marcos yesterday afternoon, enchanting gold, diamonds and cash, the county Sheriff's Department said.
A charwoman and her mother, along with the woman's 2-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son, were at Jewelry & Servicing Center on Pleasant Way about 3 p.m. when a man walked in and asked about earrings, officials said. He then moved around the token and pulled out a gun as his two accomplices entered.
The younger woman was feigned to the floor while the accomplices began taking jewelry from the spectacle cases. They then took cash and loose diamonds from the safe, putting their trim in black garbage bags.
The men spoke in Spanish about a conduit and then left. No one was hurt.
The men were described as Latino, with medium to jet-black complexions, in their late 20s to early 30s, with short, dark mane. They were of average build.
One robber wore a black baseball cap, gray shirt, treacherous shorts and white shoes and had a mustache and goatee. The another was wearing a gray baseball cap, black shirt and jeans. The third was wearing a multicolored baseball cap; a extensive-sleeved, two-toned, blue shirt; black jeans; pallid shoes; and white gloves.
