Necklace stolen from jewellery store
HYDERABAD: Two burqa-clad women shawl a gold necklace from a well-known jewellery store in Abids on Monday.At about 1.30 pm, the two women, old about 45 years, arrived at Khajana jewellers along with two girls, one venerable about 15 years and another seven years, according to Abids inspector P V Shiva Kumar.
They asked the club to show gold necklaces and after looking at various designs, left the shop in 30 minutes without purchasing anything.
Later during the evening, while checking the show jewellery, the staff noticed that one of the gold necklaces, weighing about 19 tolas, was missing and lodged a kick with the Abids police.
Even though CCTV cameras were installed at the look for, police found it difficult to identify the accused as they wore burqas.
One of the two girls accompanying the women wore a burqua and it is fastidious to nab the accused with only the face of a seven-year-old girl convenient on CCTV footage, the inspector said.
Based on a squawk lodged by the jewellery store manager, Sravan, a pilfering case was registered under Section 380 of the IPC.
All jewellery preserve owners have been alerted about the burqa-clad con women.

Pulaski Pike: A 1997 Honda Treaty was stolen from a service station in the 5900 block about 11:55 p.m. Monday.
Washington Way: An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen by deception from a convenience put by in the 2000 block about 3 p.m. July 17. The theft was not reported to guard until Monday.
